The Independent Catholic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is dedicated to providing for the long-term financial benefit of Catholic parishes, schools, cemeteries, ministries and service organizations in the United States, with emphasis on those within the geographic boundaries of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. The Foundation is governed solely by a lay Board of Trustees.

We have become the largest charitable foundation in Central Pennsylvania with an endowment portfolio 100% invested according to the ethical, moral and social teachings of the Catholic Church due to the trust placed upon us by clergy and laity.
