A year-end charitable gift to one or more of our permanent endowments for the benefit of your most cherished Catholic causes – a parish, school, religious order or diocesan ministry – within the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown will be invested in perpetuity. Each year from this point forward, a percentage of the interest earned by your gift becomes part of the annual distribution for those restricted endowments. A complete list of our 255 endowments can be reviewed on our “Permanent Endowments” web page.
Your year-end gift can be in the form of a check dated on or before December 31, payable to the Independent Catholic Foundation and mailed to our office at 3618 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1, Altoona, PA 16602.
Your gift may also be in the form of donated stock – instructions for transferring the shares to the Foundation can be downloaded from our “Give Now” web page and provided to your broker. Or, if you have celebrated your 70-½ birthday, you may also make a charitable contribution from a retirement IRA account which would qualify toward a required distribution. Your IRA manager can help you process the gift correctly.
Although the Foundation will be operating with limited hours between Christmas and New Years Day, we routinely check phone messages and e-mails, so please reach out to us via phone (814) 201-2080 or via our Contact Us web page.
May your prayerful commemoration of our Savior’s birth give you peace which extends into the new year!
