Established in 1995, the Adelaide G. Welge (WELL-ghee) Scholarship Endowment Fund provides financial assistance to college juniors or seniors registered at a Blair County Catholic Parish (other than Saint Matthew Parish, which already has a substantial scholarship program). Our selection committee intends to make three $500 awards this summer.
Welge Scholarship applicants are: (1) members of a Blair County Catholic Parish (excluding St. Matthew); (2) junior or senior undergraduate students enrolled at any accredited college or university; and , (3) in need of financial assistance. With parishes closed at this time, we ask students to email applications directly to us. We will then contact pastors to verify the applicants’ participation in the parish community.
