Scholarships Available for College Juniors & Seniors
The Independent Catholic Foundation seek applicants for the 2019 Welge Scholarship which provides financial assistance to worthy parishioners who are entering their junior or senior year of college and are a member in good standing at a Blair County Catholic Parish (except St. Matthew Parish, Tyrone, which has its own robust scholarship program). Applications are available in the parish office or can be downloaded from our “Grants” webpage. Completed applications, including the pastor’s signature, are due no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 15.
The Welge Endowment Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 to honor Adelaide G. (Heverly) Welge to provide financial assistance to worthy parishioners of Roman Catholic Churches in Blair County. If we receive a sufficient number of applications, the selection committee expects to award three $500 scholarships this summer.
