Parishes and K-12 Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown are encouraged to apply for a matching IMPACT Grant for the July 2026 – June 2027 fiscal year. Our grants may cover up to 50% of student retreats, parish missions, adult catechesis, youth ministry, leadership training, etc., each of which have the potential to be meaningful encounters that deepen one’s relationship with Jesus Christ.
Previous IMPACT Grants have supported parish missions (such as the recent mission at Holy Name with Olympian Jadin O’Brien), off-campus student retreats, Altoona Deanery Confirmation Retreats, Hallow App subscriptions for school communities, parish vacation bible school, and many more.
ICF IMPACT Grants are fueled by a 2017 bequest of nearly $1 million. Investing it as an endowment has caused the bequest to increase in value by 24% even while allowing us to award $347,153 in only eight grant cycles.
To compete for the $52,426 available in July, parishes and schools are asked to submit one completed application for one initiative by Thursday, May 14 via this link.
If you are inspired by our stewardship of this bequest, and desire to create your own legacy fund, please reply to Chris Ringkamp. The importance of supporting cherished Catholic causes has never been greater.
